Learn to ride a Harley-Davidson
The first step will require you to pass your theory test. Here you will be tested on your understanding of the highway code and particular motorcycle related information. If you pass this successfully, you will then be able to book in for your Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)
To pass your Compulsory Basic Training (CBT), you will initially be taught the basics of controlling a motorcycle in an off-road environment. We will prepare you with all the necessary skills to ensure that you can tackle various traffic situations when we take you out on the road for a minimum of two hours. As your first time out on the road, this part of your training will lay the foundation for your full licence journey and is, therefore, very important.
The first step to completing your full motorcycle licence test will require the completion of Module One. Carried out at a Driving Standards Agency test centre, in a controlled environment, you will be asked to carry out a number of manoeuvres which will include slow control, swerving as if to avoid an accident along with completing an emergency stop. Module One will need to be completed before moving on to Module Two.
The final stage of getting your full motorcycle licence involves completing Module Two. Either taken straight after Module One or on a separate day, you will be taken out on the road in various road, traffic and speed conditions. Here you will be tested on your ability to keep in complete control of your bike whilst practising good road knowledge and awareness along with an understanding of the Highway Code. Once completed, you will be awarded a full motorcycle riding certificate to start your journey aboard your dream ride! With prices for the Street 750 starting at just £5795 and £7495 for the Iron 883™, along with low monthly payments available on both models, riding a Harley is more affordable than ever.
